Re: After 5 years... (SF)

If Ms. Anna Maria Stone did your appointment and reviewed your documents you can almost be assured that you will be getting your San Francisco letter soon. They are currently working on 2008. Ms Stone is very thorough, efficent and accurate any problems would have been picked up by her at the time o...

Re: SF Update...Sort Of

Ivannoli, Anna Maria has successfully gotten through those of us who applied in 2007, through December. In fact they are moving quite fast- so 2008 people should be hearing sooner than later- especially since a number of those applicants received their letter within days of applying. What they have ...

Re: SF Appointments -- April 2011?

Yes, this is true they are stretching out the appointments so they can get through the backlog. They are almost through it and those who have had their appointments recently are getting their letters in record time. So if you consider that some of us have waited two-three years since our appointment...

Re: Success in SF

Penguindump, I am so excited for you. I too am much older than 21 and am hoping mine is coming right around the corner! Were you able to say thank you in person to Anna Maria when you went in to get your passport. I think there are only two people ahead of me in SF now. Eatncake and my friend who is...

Re: As of today..

I remember too Penguindump, it is too bad we so had our hopes up. I thought you would get yours in April/May and I would hear in June/July by Consul's words to us. Luckily you are a young'un, me I feel more desperate. About ready to give up completely of ever getting it. Marcia

Re: appointment this morning - SF

Actually, I find solace in the response, "Be patient we are getting there." Thanks for writing and reporting Penguindump. There are a lot worse things he could have said that is for sure. Marci

Re: appointment this morning - SF

Penguindump, you said you wrote to the Consul again asking for a time frame, I know he usually is very quick to respond. Has he told you anything? My application included 7 of us and I thought that was a lot but 17 way to go David. Did you do all the work as I did? Penguin isn't yours pretty straigh...

Re: appointment this morning - SF

So what does this mean penguindump. That they are only working on recent applications and the backlog has been abandoned? Should I ask Anna Maria? or leave it alone? By my calculations and what consul told us you should get yours soon and mine in June? and my fiends in May. MarciaI keep looking but....

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

Cyannmarie, who received her letter in February 2009, was one of the first persons who posted on these forums describing her appointment in San Francisco. That same month I and a friend went to the consulate and made an appointment in person with Eric. I remember that he opened the book and we could...

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

Ciaobella, thank you so much. Do you think what is the process will get to the question of how they are handling the backlog? Is it going to revert to the order of application again? Tahanks again. Marcia

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

Oh this is devastating news- I really wish I could join you VJG but it is the last class for the semester in my Italian school and we are having a festa and learning the Tarantella- and the kid has a soccer game. It is so great of you to make that effort, there is nothing better than the opportunity...
