Success in SF

Hey now.. I received an email from the Consul General telling me he just signed my citizenship certificate, and that I can apply for a passport now. Re: Qualifying Confusion

Sorry about that, definitely read it wrong.. I skipped to the "paternal GF becoming a US citizen part."

So your mother's paternal GF's naturalization status would have to be determined. She would be unable to qualify from a female as she was born before 1948.

Re: Qualifying Confusion

Since she was born before 1948, she would have to qualify through her father. You would need to determine whether her father naturalized prior to her birth.

Re: Record Your Current Timeline!

I found out about this just after turning 22.. April 2005 - Visited Ireland/UK, wanted to move there. Looked online for a way to move over there legally, and came across this idea. I asked my mother and grandmother about my gf and ggf's naturalization information, etc.. Started collecting documents....

As of today..

..It has been two years since I applied in San Francisco. It seems like a long time, but I remember it clear as day.

I don't really know why I started this thread.. I guess I just wanted to add something to the board that wasn't spam. Have a good weekend everyone :D

Re: Major Document Changes

There are applicants who were even unable to find a birth certificate for a person not in their direct line and SF let it pass. I would once again suggest going the notarized affidavit route here. I would be one of them :) I was unable to find my GGM's birth certificate (I applied through the same ...

Re: New Info On SF Processing Times?

Depends on which part you're referring to: The person who received their citizenship within the same week actually posted in this thread - DoreenJoy. Her application took two days. The person who told me they were contacting people from '06/'07 about their applications was the Consul General. I read...

Re: appointment this morning - SF

Mrs. Stone is definitely awesome. She was extremely helpful and patient with my family. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about her :D

Re: I know I don't qualify, but . . .

Let's keep this forum civil and encourage people to share their experiences to the fullest extent they can, OK? I disagree. This isn't your experience, and nowhere near an extent by any means. I'm not beating you up over it, I just think it was a bad idea to mention it and say you had proof; then b...

Re: I know I don't qualify, but . . .

I just don't understand the point in mentioning this and possibly getting people's hopes up if you're unwilling to do as little as name the consulate.
