Re: New Info On SF Processing Times?

It seems that they've been kind of all over the board. While they had the extra person in the citizenship department, I know they were processing new applications in record time (one person applied on a Monday and received their letter on Saturday of the same week even). I recall reading that someo...

Re: New Info On SF Processing Times?

[I posted a similar question a few months back, sorry for the redundancy] Just wondering if anybody has updated info on SF's staffing / processing times. There's been some rumors that they've hired somebody else and therefore they're moving quicker, but when I asked Anna Maria Stone in July if that...

Re: Loosing all patience with the LA consulate! Anyone agree??

The letter probably sat in the mail room at the consulate for a couple of weeks. My wife had her letter stuck in there and only by calling the citizenship officer did she get it dislodged. Well, I can tell you that I applied in April of 2005 and did not receive my citizenship letter until September...

Re: appointment this morning - SF

Ana Maria is great. She really helped me when I was applying. I applied in April of 2005 with the Italian Consulate in San Francisco and received my letter of Citizenship in September of 2008. I even moved from SF to LA in the process and nothing got screwed up; thanks to Ana! I then went to the Ita...

Re: Document Discrepancies

Ciao Everyone! I'm just starting the process of obtaining my certified documents. Does anyone have experience with how picky the San Francisco Consolato is with the word for word discrepancy rule? For example: #1 My father's birth certificate from Oakland,CA spells his middle name: Nicholas. Howeve...

SF Consulate

Giovanni, Did you move to another location with the SF consulate's jurisdiction, or out of the jurisdiction? I've heard of SF retaining the files of people who submitted their applications while they lived in the jurisdiction, even if they moved outside the jurisdiction while their application was ...

SF Consulate

[ quote="ciaobella"]Congratulations Giovanni!!! There is hope. I actually applied before you in January of 2006 and I haven't gotten my letter yet. I guess I should send them an e-mail. I was wondering - did you have any problems with your application? Was it a fairly simple one? Were some...

Just Received my Citizenship

I applied in March of 2006 and just got my letter today granting my citizenship. I did all my paperwork through SF and with Annamaria Stone; she was wonderful. I moved during the process, emailed her my new address and the citizenship papers were sent to my new address! Amazing!!!

Italian America

Italian America is very expensive and this site or others can do it much cheaper than what they charge. I did all my work through this site and was very please with the service. I also had a couple of translations done by others that were only $25 per document.

I received my Italain Citizenship through the SF Consulate

I received my Italian citizenship through the SF Consulate in Nov of 2006.
I started the process with the conuslate (after gathering all the required documentation) in January of 2005 so, it took a little while but well worth the wait! Best of luck to you.

Moving from one Consulate to another

I was wondering if anyone has moved to a different consulate jurisdiction after their final paperwork was finalized and accepted by the original consulate. Do you have to re-apply to the new consulate or will the original consulate forward the information to you at your new address. I moved from the...

Green Card

I applied through SF and my grandfather had a work permit but I still needed to no record letter so I would go ahead and file the FOIA request which can take up to a year or more to receive.
