It's not that it "does not work"; after great grandfathers it addresses you to your consulate in order to request assistance directly from them. Makes sense to me - when there's over 3 degrees of ancestorship you want to have a professional taking a look and make sure everything is in orde...

The statement looks like it's taken from the Embassy questionnaire. In that case there's no need or sense in US "confirming" it on a web forum: the Embassy and the Consulates are the authority, what they say is the official version.

Right?

Official On Line Questionnaire

I have been told by consular officials that the best, and official, on-line resource for gathering whether one is eligible, and which docs he should get is at: http://www.niaf.org/citizenship Although currently hosted on a Niaf web server (one may like niaf or not I guess) this has been developed by...

Newark

My experience, and that of other friends and relatives who use this account and sometimes visit this board, was v. good. It has a very small staff though. It's a VICE consulate, no wonder.. I would not know about 'expediting', I tried too at some point and they seemed to be very stiff in processing ...

I actually found the staff at the Newark office to be very cooperative. Especially considering they have one person doing ctzshp for the whole state! I am not an applicant for citizenship, but on other issues all my emails were returned. Those and faxes are the best way to communicate I guess? Make ...

Nice reading you all. The other post quoted by Em was by my cousin who also really enjoys this website and has been sharing my account. He was referring to me and another friend when speaking about 'lawyers'. Sorry if this confused you. If there's a rule against multiple use of one account I apologi...

You forgot the most important part in the Government program: "...now we are working, incorportating different political perspectives, on an hypothesis that I think merits to be explored in depth. That is, to subordinate such recognition to basic knowledge of Italian." (from the webpage of...

oh and by the way Deputy Ministers ( just as Ministers) are appointed by the President of the Republic, not by Parliament. The cabinet then goes to parliament per il voto della fiducia.

It's such a beautiful constitution, we should start a thread on it some day.

I really don't see where the insult or the attack is, my friend. As you ackonwledged, and I am happy we can end the conversation on this note, you are no expert of the italian legislation or constitution, just as I am no expert of the American one (or for that matter of english, language: thanks for...

To help Angiolo and everyone else who does not understand italian, and for the sake of precision, I also decided to translate the previously commented text, which is the government program of the deputy minister, announced to parliament after his nomination. If you don't trust my translation you're ...

Em ,I don't know why you speak about the Italian lawmaking process if you are still familiarising with it. You are confusing a lot of people in my opinion. I have at this point to add that I graduated from law in Italy and will be happy to clarify a couple things . A deputy minister DOES HAVE THE AU...
