"Certificate of citizenship" lost in fire!!

Hello, The comune of Bagheria (Sicily) had a fire in 1927 and this appears to be the reason they can't find my great-grandfather's certificate of citizenship (although they have his marriage cert and birth cert). What can I do? Are there copies of docs from ~1880 in some other central office perhaps...

amending CA death cert takes 9 months- short cuts?

Hello everyone, My grandfather's birth date is incorrect on his death certificate. I have completed the affidavit to amend, but they say it can take up to 9 months to process and send me a certified amended death certificate. Cook County IL, amend naturalization certificate!

Hello everyone,

My grandfather's birthdate is listed incorrectly on my great-grandfather's naturalization certificate. The clerk of court that gave me the docs has no idea how to amend them.
Ideas??

Soundex naturalization date but USCIS says no record

I got what I'm guessing is a copy of the Soundex card from the Cook County court in IL after requesting my great-grandfather's naturalization documents. It confirms his place/date of birth, date of naturalization, witnesses, address etc. but doesn't bear his signature (which is why I'm guessing this...
