Italiamerica has been great for me. I would recommend them without reservation. I received my great-grandparents certificates through them without problems. They are great at communicating everything!! With respect to the "no records letter" I have already sent out my FOIA, now 52000/85000...

They took the Italaian original certificates without photocopies. I had made photocopies for them but the consulate official did not want.

I plan on doing the same thing. If they have the records from LDS, I plan on taking a trip myself to retrieve them in Italy. I too have not hear anything from ICGS and the documents were requested in August as well!! I have also sent for the microfilm rolls from LDS and am eager to see if the records are there.....
