I am just beginning the procedure to acquire a "No Record" letter for my Great-Grandfather. He arrived in 1911, lived in NJ, died in 1968 and had never become a citizen. Should I begin with form G-1041 from USCIS, instead of G-639? Should I do both? Is there anything else I should do right...

How long did it take you guys to receive the "No Record" letter from USCIS?

I am just about to apply for my great-grandfather's.

I hope that's all I'll need too. ;)
