My grandfather died in 1975 and his death certificate lists his mother's first name incorrectly as Dorizata instead of Donata. I do not have his mother's birth certificate yet (has not been located). I do have his parents marriage certificate and his father's birth certificate. What do I need to do ...

They then traveled together in 1913 to the USA. They lived in Kings County Brooklyn. On his 1918 WWI draft card, he ...

He came to America and went back to Italy to Marry?

The 1930 census clearly lists my great grand father as coming to America in 1903 and his wife coming in 1913. I have their Italian Marriage Certificate from 1912 in Italy. He was born in 1886 and she was born in 1893. What do you think is more likely, the 1903 was meant to be 1913 or that he came to...

That doesn't really make sense.. The consulate should be satisfied if the first papers were filed after the birth of the relative you're applying through. I don't understand so many of their regulations :( This is a good point; I think it really depends on the consulate official who is reviewing th...

I sent away for the form 6 months ago. I called yesterdy and they said that the paper work has been completed, but it should be another 9-12 months before they get around to mailing it out.

Is there any way to get it faster?
