Re: Passport at Vice Consulte?

I applied through the Sacramento Vice Consulate after receiving my citizenship through SF. I brought all the forms printed off the SF web site. I also brought cash for the exact amount and the Vice Consulate wrote a check. He went over the forms with me to make sure everything was correct and them s...

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

yjg I was looking for you at the reception afterwards! We should have planned on meeting by the cannolis! I also had wanted to ask more questions but after an hour they said "3 more questions only!" I agree they easily could have been there another hour getting asked questions. But I reall...

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

I just returned from the event and I took notes. I apologize if some of this information is repetitive for some of you. I’m also sorry I didn’t get to hook up with people from this forum who might have been there. It was a much bigger turn out than I would have expected. I thought it was a very info...

Re: Meet the new SF Consul General

Hi everyone, I'm going to attend this event since I live less than a half-hour away from the center. I will try to present the following questions for the group. I have a feeling his presentation is going to be geared towards those people who had no idea that they might qualify for citizenship or th...

Re: Thank you, San Francisco... but...

Hi there. I am curious as to what you mean by 'wrong commune'. I applied through my Maternal Grandfather and they registered my documnets in the commune of my Maternal Grandmother instead. Both my grandparents were still Italian citizens when my mother was born but I had to apply through my Grandfat...

Re: SF success strikes again!

Truly great news!I just got around to applying for my passport even though I got my letter last October.
It's currently $110 which is quite a bit less than it was last year.
(Due to the decline in the Euro)

Re: Thanking The Consulates

After our initial appointment back in January 2006 my mother (who is now 80) sent Ms. Stone a quilted eyeglass case she had made (she noticed Ms. Stone wore glasses and my mother - who makes many crafts and sells them at a craft store - thought she might like it). I mailed it to her and I sent a not...

Great News Secondo! I applied 1/06 and received my letter 9/08 from SF. So you were two months behind me for both which may show they are steadily getting through that backlog. When we applied my mother was told we couldn't attach our application or documents to her brother's already approved applic...

That's great news.

My sister now wants to apply and try to 'attach' to our file in SF.
She has to go through Houston as well.

Congratulations!

I'm not sure if Honorary Consulates are the same as Vice Consulates but the Vice Consulate in Sacramento told us he couldn't do Jure Sanguis applications.

I am wondering - I can apply for my passport through the Vice Consulate?
