Paternal Great Grandfather

Postby aimpagli » Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:09 pm

Hello Everyone!

My great grandfather was born in Italy. He came to the US and was naturalized after the birth of my grandmother. She was born in 1926. She then adopted my father in 1958 and I was born in 1988.

I'm very confused as to whether or not I qualify...any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If it was a legal adoption (and I assume it was), your grandmother passed citizenship to her adopted child and he passed it to you. I believe you qualify.

Hello

That's true Em has right. Your ancestor naturalized AFTER, and you are legally adopted than you have right but attorney can help you certainly.
