Dual Citizenship

Someone here ever had problems with the US government when obtaining the Italian citizenship?

I need help on this please. I have 2 citizenships already and I will renounce to one in order to get the Italian citizenship as so to keep the US and the Italian.

I have read many postings but none help, I saw a link also but didn't help much. Will US government have a problem with the Italian oath of allegiance? I have read they "assumed" you want to keep the US citizenship but that is it. What about it they assumed otherwise? Do they have grounds to take it from you? I guess so. I mean there isn't anything in the books that protects dual citizenship holders. Hope I am wrong. Please advice.

The law passed that the government can not take your US citizenship away. One can only lose their citizenship if they request it to be canceled or what not.
