Never renounced Italian citizenship

I am applying for dual citizenship through my paternal grandfather. He was naturalized two years after my father was born(1919 in NYC). Do either my father or I need proof that we never renounced our Italian citizenship? If so, how would we do that?

I think I might have found the answer-the notarized document where we swear we have not renounced.

Yes, that's all you need. No other proof is required.
