USCIS Will Not Certify

Postby lje2 » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:35 pm

The USCIS Genealogy Department states on their website that they will provide a non-certified copy of a Naturalization Certificate for dual citizenship. Does anybody know if the San Francisco Consulate will accept that, or not. Also, will the US Department of State authenticate an non-certified copy from the USCIS? In short...How do I obtain a certified copy of a Naturalization Certificate from 1938? I'm getting the royal 'run-around' from all the different government agencies with regards to this matter. Thanks. Giovanni
