Naturalization proof

Postby anitapgh » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:39 am

Hello, all! What an exciting resource this is. I've just begun my process for Italian citizenship and as far as I can tell, I am perfectly eligible. I know the process will be long and at times frustrating, but I don't think there is any legal reason that I won't be able to obtain my citizenship. Hurray!

Today I took the first step in this process and drove to the county courthouse where my great-grandparents were naturalized. There, in the microfiche archives, I found several documents. However, I am unsure if any of them will count as the official naturalization certificate. The ones I found were:

1. Certificate of arrival
2. Petition for Citizenship
3. Declaration of Intention
4. Oath of Allegiance

Are there the correct naturalization documents? Thanks very much for any help!

You need items 2, 3, and 4. Item 1 is nice but not necessary.
