YAHOO!!!! Thank you so much for posting this information. I am shocked as the most recent I heard was June/July 2006. At least we are now in the same year (I applied in December 2007). This calls for a glass of vino!

eatncake 7/12/2007
marciatrouton 9/1/2007
abx415 12/10/2007

These are the people I'm tracking as still unapproved cases from the San Francisco consulate. Some of the dates are approximations though.

Anyone know if Esatto has received 'the letter'?

Yes, thank you for listing those names and dates. It will help when we read that someone got their letter.

Greetings all,
It has been a long road for all of us and I don't want this to upset anyone, but I wanted to let people know. I started this process of gathering documents in 05, requested my appointment in Feb of 08, had my appointment in November of 08 and got "the letter" today (Jan 29th, 2009). Is this right??????? I was expecting to wait another couple years before receiving recognition but was completely surprised and still in shock after receiving it today.

Is this " the letter" or am I crazy?

Thanks,
Jeffrey

That's not good news :( Were all of your documents accepted at your appointment?

My GGF's CA death certificate lists his dob incorrectly. I tried to have it amended last September. The CDPH says it takes up to 6 weeks for a rejection notice if your affidavit is incomplete in any way. Well, it took over 10 weeks for me to get that notice, which was not as annoying as it being rejected. The reason for the rejection was that the notarized sworn statement that the CA appointed notary public had my mother and I sign, was the incorrect form for the CDPH  I was so angry when I opened up the packet I had sent to them, and saw that the sworn statement we sent in had a sticky note attached to it saying "Requires sworn statement." That's what you stuck the note to argghh. It didn't even say "this is the incorrect form" or anything like that; I'm just guessing that's the issue...

Anyway, now I am worried because all of my documents were accepted at our appointment. I wanted to have that document amended just in case.. Hopefully it isn't an issue, but now I'm fearing what may happen with my application.

EU Ahoy,

What address are you emailing for updates to the consul? I am thinking of writing if I don't get any news.

Thanks,
Esatto

Thanks EU Ahoy for the address and the update!!!

Also, it is not hard to amend a California record as I amended errors regarding my grandfather's date of birth on his death record. It was a six month turnaround so start working on it as soon as possible.
