Applying in Italy

Postby jeff1236 » Thu Feb 26, 2009 8:32 am

Does anyone have any information about applying for citizenship jures sanguinis in Italy? Specifically, in Milan? I will be on a student visa and be living in Milan at the time of my scheduled appointment and desperately want to get my paperwork in. Thanks to all.

There is differing opinion and a few have done some fast and loose stuff in Italy, but technically you aren't supposed to be able to do it. Student Visa technically will not cut it, but hey, it is Italy.

Link to expatsinitaly.com thread regarding applying in Italy...

Can be done, may be faster, will probably have to change type of PdiS from study to "attesa di cittadinanza".

Read the thread....

Nonsense. Read the Italian laws and circolari.
