Applying in Philadelphia with "No Record Found"

Postby Lancia1980 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 4:58 pm

Hi Everyone I am applying in Philadelphia; my appointment is in June. I have all of the documents requested- certified, translated, apostiled, etc; all name issues finally corrected, etc. However, I do not have any docs on my GGF naturalization, and it is hard to prove a negative. What I do have is a "No Records" letter from the County clerk's office where he lived, the Superior Court where he lived, the National Archives, and finally, a certification from USCIS of no record of naturaliztaion. Let me also say that I was careful to ask for a search and resulting letter to have Italian spellings of the first name, US spellings, nick names, and asked for a substantial range of birth dates. Three years of document work so far. Is this good enough? What else can I get? I know each consulate is different. Am I good for Philadelphia?
