Italian Geneaologist - Any recommendations

Postby ofoghlu » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:36 pm

Hi:

A friend has given me the name of an Italian Geneaologist in Milan - Dott. Riccardo DeRosa (http://www.genealogy.it/) - I was wondering if anyone has dealt with him or in the alternative might recommend someone competent.

Thanks.

I don't know him, but I do know several who post on the forum of www.italiangenealogy.com Suanj is particularly helpful, and even though she is a professional genealogist, she has provided valuable information to posters on the forum. She and her partner specialize in southern Italy, and this is her website:

http://matera.site.voila.fr/Malerba/italian_origin.htm

You may want to read some of her posts on the forum. It will give you a good idea of what she may be able to do for you.

Just reread her information. She also specializes in the Trento area.

http://www.genealogy.it appears to be an entirely separate site from www.italiangenealogy.com . I agree about suanj- she's awesome.

Just to add a "me too" I would _highly_ recommend suanj. She assisted me (with a southern Italian search) and she was amazing.

Thank you all very much for the advice. She sounds terrific - my problem is that my family is all up North.
