Can anyone translate this?

Postby eirinikos » Thu Dec 04, 2008 1:40 pm

Hi,

I've been trying to dig up whatever info I can from my family name (D'Alacchi) on the net, but unfortunately, I can't read Italian yet, so I have to guess a lot of things. I ran across this page which supposedly has info on some noble families, one of which has my family name on there.

It has a handwritten essay on it in Italian. Would anyone be able to translate this for me? I'd be willing to pay for the time.

I got this off this page

If a translation isn't possible, then can someone tell me at least what the apparent difference is between the Alacchi family and the D'Alacchi ? It has them listed on this page as though they are different.

Someone told me that the D' on the name has something to do with nobility? Does anyone know anything about all that?

May I suggest googling "Italian to English translation" - you will find many sites that offer free automated translation which though not always a perfect translation it will certainly be good enough for learning more about the name.
