Tax question

Postby anthane12 » Tue Aug 26, 2008 9:02 am

I am teaching a course (just one course, as adjunct faculty) for an American college in Italy this fall. I've been living in Italy for several years and recently received citizenship (in addition to my U.S. citizenship).

Does anyone know if I have to pay Italian taxes for this job? My pay for the course is 2800 euros. I know that I have to pay U.S. taxes regardless (well, in theory, but my income is below the foreign earned income cutoff), but don't know what Italy asks in such a case.
