Legal jobs in Italy

Curious to know what the legal job market is like in Italy? Are there jobs out there for attorneys with US law degrees?

I'd research US law firms that have branches in Italy (or EU).

I imagine that any lawyer from a common law background (i.e. England, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc.) intending to practice law in Italy would confront difficulties given the substantial differences in the legal systems and the language barriers.

Having said that, I would be interested in the results of your investigations into the prospective change. Nothing is impossible!

If you are a US attorney have you checked out the www.usajobs.opm.gov website? This list all US government jobs to include those overseas. May have some luck finding a job on a military installation in either the Vincenza, Napoli, Sigonella & Aviano area.

I would research, but I would think you may need to have at least basic knowledge of their legal system in order to practice. That would only make sense.

I am looking for a legal assistant/paralegal job in Italy, preferably with a US law firm there. I don't speak Italian yet. If anyone knows anyone who is looking, please let me know. I have already checked Martindale, thx.
