Is this my GGGranfather's Italian Birth Cert? Translate Help

Postby BroookeA » Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:15 pm

Last month I had requested my GG grandparents birth and marriage certs. Today I had received this letter and certificates from the commune of my Italian GG Grandparents. They have all been stamped and signed:

1867 in Caianello
e' nato/a Di Burro Antonio
Figlio/a di Sabatino e di de Lorio Filomena
Da annotazioni- o in calce risulta

I believe that this says that they can not find his record of birth? Am I wrong?
My GG Grandmother's birth cert. and their marriage cert. is a form that they had handwritten in the blanks with their date of marriage how old they were when they got married, and my GG Grandmothers maiden name. Her birth cert. is the same format.
I am hoping that this is the correct info I need. If they can not find my GG Grandfather's birth cert. I wonder if this letter will be enough. I do have his passport and Military discharge papers. I am applying through the Los Angeles Consulate.
