Letter of No Appeal

Postby ryguy28896 » Wed Jun 30, 2010 3:10 pm

I'm in the process of getting all of the necessary documents together for dual citizenship. However, my parents divorced when I was 12. Along with the final divorce decree, I heard I would also need to attach a Letter of No Appeal. Is this correct? How would I write one? Also, my father has since remarried and had 2 children with his new wife. Would I need this new marriage certificate, or just the one pertaining to my mother?

If your parent's marriage was the first for both you need not concern yourself with their divorce. The consulate does not need to be told about their divorce. You just present their marriage certificate. If one or both of them were applying they would need the document.
